I began painting when I was 15 years old and have not stopped yet! I am an artist.

My passion continues to oil paint, and I specialize in impressionistic and realistic oil painting of both rural and urban landscape art. I love the tactile qualities and the actual process of painting. I am married with five children (mostly grown now), two dogs and one cat. Oh, and did I tell you, I love art!

I have three degrees in teaching art, studio arts and technical illustration from three Minnesota Universities. Suma Cum Laude in Technical Illustration.

“My desire is to filter the three-dimensional image through heart-felt emotional responses and in some small way enrich the viewer’s spirit. Toward that end, I use simplified line, enriched values, and complementary color in an attempt to give homage to the Creator, the true Artist of Excellence.” - - Tom Fisher

I am an impressionist oil artist that is easily identified by his signature use of bold brushwork and strong, bold color.

I studied at the University of Minnesota, St. Cloud State University and Bemidji State University, with additional experience as a commercial technical illustrator for a top 500 company.

My paintings are held in many private collections throughout the Unites States and have been featured in number of newspaper articles. I have also produced numerous large-scale window designs in stained-glass for churches throughout the United States.

“As an artist I try to capture the color, line, value and design created by light as it cascades along the surfaces of the subject, In addition, I try to simplify and yet hopefully leave an impression that speaks to the viewer”.
